April 19, 2009 - Update

Even though it's only been roughly a month since my last posting, so much has happened since then......Probably the biggest and most exciting is that we sold our house and will finally be building! We have been planning since we bought the land back in November of 2003 and it's hard for me to believe we're actually finally moving. We've selected our builder and are really excited to have Doug Browning build the house the girls will call home for many years. And although we thought this month was crazy busy, I think it's only going to get busier. We have to be out by June 1st and will be moving into my parents' basement while our house is built. We're very fortunate they're willing to let us live with them, especially since we'll be living across the street from our new home which will be extremely convenient.
Both the girls are doing wonderfully. Presley is a very active, talkative, and sweet 3 year old. She is constantly entertaining us. The other day she was telling me about her right hand and her wrong hand. We had to explain that no that was actually her left hand. Very cute. She's also recently developed a fear of bugs. Yesterday while driving with Beau, Presley started freaking out because there was a bug in the back seat. When Beau looked back he realized it was only a gnat, he expected something much larger with the production she was putting on. Macey is 5 months! Where has the time gone? She is still such a good baby. She's rolling over & sitting up (well she still kind of slumps over a bit). She also found her toes and had rice cereal for the first time today.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending my sorority's centennial celebration. Chi Omega has been at UW for 100 years! Over 500 attended and one sister was from the 1930's! It was amazing to have all of us there in one room and it made me think that one day I might share this with my daughters. It truly is an amazing organization that I am very proud to be part of. Going back through the house and seeing old roommates brought back many fun memories from my college days. It's almost like I had never left. They will always be very dear to my heart.
Here are some pictures from the past month, including some fun Easter shots

After finishing, I noticed that I have more pictures of Macey. It's not that we took any less of Presley, but she's going through this cheesy smile phase and there were a lot of not so cute ones. Maybe next post we'll get her smiling normal again. :)
